1. Overview

tmptext.link is a temporary text and file sharing service. Rooms expire one hour after the last save. Expired content becomes unavailable and is automatically cleaned up.

2. Data We Collect

Content You Share

Shared text, uploaded files and file metadata are stored temporarily for sharing. Attachments are hosted in private storage managed by our sister service TFLink and follow the room's PIN protection and expiration.

PIN Codes

4-digit PIN codes are generated client-side and stored with your content to prevent unauthorized access. These are deleted along with your content.

Technical Data

Standard server logs may temporarily record IP addresses and request metadata for security purposes. We do not use cookies or tracking scripts.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not require user accounts or registration
  • We do not use cookies for tracking
  • We do not collect personal information
  • We do not sell or share any data with third parties
  • We do not use analytics that track individual users

4. Data Retention

Rooms expire one hour after the last save. Saving text or changing attachments renews this period. Downloads are denied as soon as the room expires or is destroyed. Automatic cleanup removes stored files; if storage is temporarily unavailable, deletion is retried. Copies already downloaded by recipients cannot be revoked.

You can also manually delete your content at any time using the "Destroy Room" feature before the automatic expiration.

5. Security

We implement the following security measures:

  • All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
  • PIN protection prevents unauthorized access and crawler bots
  • Content is stored on Cloudflare's globally distributed edge network
  • Attachments use private storage and expire with their room

6. Third-Party Services

We use Cloudflare for hosting, CDN, and data storage. Cloudflare may collect basic analytics as part of their service. Please refer to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for more information.

7. Your Rights

You can remove individual attachments or destroy the room at any time. Otherwise, shared content expires one hour after the last save and is automatically cleaned up.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
